Patient Participation Group

Purpose of the Group

The group comprises of patients of the surgery who wish to work together with the social prescriber and the practice to help meet the needs of patients, to improve services and share an understanding of issues and opportunities.

We do this by listening to the views of patients and directly using feedback from our questionnaires and dialogue with the staff.

By working together in a constructive way the Heath Centre we have over the last few years:

Achievements

  • Increased the number of staff members on the switch board at the busiest times
  • Discussed and improved the appointment system
  • Improved the confidentiality of the check in desk
  • Supported the introduction of the online appointment booking and repeat prescriptions 
  • Arranged a water cooler in the waiting room
  • Improved the self check-in process
  • 60% reduction in non-attended GP appointments

Join us

We are always happy to accept new members from registered patients, the group meets regularly at the surgery for approximately one hour.
