Dear Patients,

We wish to inform you that we are starting a formal consultation about the proposed merger of DRHC and LMC.

Lenton Medical Centre is situated at 266 Derby Road and on 31st March 2017, the lease on the premises will end. Dr Alawale of LMC is not in a position to renew the lease as the premises are no longer suitable as a general practice. It is therefore proposed that Dr Alawale moves to DRHC along with some of his clinical and administrative team to provide continuity of care for his patients. LMC currently has approximately 2,200 patients and they would benefit from the healthcare services and modern facilities which DRHC has to offer. DRHC patients would also benefit from the increase in clinical and administrative staff. Dr Alawale is also a specialist in minor surgery.

It is proposed that Dr Alawale joins the partnership at DRHC; he would be a valuable addition to the team and would ensure the continued dedication to good practice. The partners and Dr Alawale feel strongly that they are like-minded in their clinical practice and share an ethos of excellent patient healthcare that will serve them well within a new partnership.

We held an OPEN DAY on Saturday, 21st January 2017 with Questions and Answers for both LMC and DRHC patients; the event was a great success with many DRHC and LMC patients attending the event.  To see the Questions and Answers given at the event, Click Here
